Joseph M. dePoortere

Joseph de Poortere is Chairman  & CEO of Thomas Murphy & Associates.  He has over  20 years of professional consulting experience. Mr. de Poortere provides our clients with Consultation and Design Services for all technology systems. As a member of Thomas Murphy & Associates, Mr. de Poortere has developed and designed multiple system solutions for some of our largest clients. In addition to his consultative role Mr. de Poortere is involved with developing customer expectations, maintaining key accounts and developing new business.

Mr. de Poortere’s expertise and industry experience includes large scale projects for BBDO Worldwide, Joseph E. Seagram & Son, Porter Novelli, Bloomberg, J & W Seligman, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Ogilvy & Mather, MedImmune, The United States Department of Justice, Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, Hill Holliday, Legg Mason, Omnicom Group,  Sun Chemical, Breeze Eastern Corporation, Montefiore Medical Center, Dow Jones and United Parcel Services.

Mr. de Poortere has designed complete technology roll outs for Emergency Medical Associates, Business Technology Partners, and Health First since joining Thomas Murphy & Associates. He was the principal architect of an extensive project involving the definition of world-wide technology standards for Legg Mason. This project alone encompassed over 40 cities in more than 25 countries. Currently he is directing the deployment of technology systems for a national real-estate developer.

Prior to joining Thomas Murphy & Associates Mr. de Poortere sold his company AVOCA Integrated Media, to Roxciticus Ventures LLC, of Mendham  NJ. He brings with him extensive experience in Technology System Design. Mr. de Poortere’s education includes New Jersey Institute of Technology - Newark, New Jersey, ICIA Academy of Advanced System Design - Fairfax, VA, Extron Advanced System Design - Anaheim, CA, Cisco Certified Tele-Presence Design Engineer, - San Jose, CA, and Crestron’s Advance System Design Group - Rockleigh, NJ.
